Welcome. Come on in. Come on in. Welcome to the Hundredfold Podcast, an extension of Hundredfold Ministry with Pastor Vanessa Holland, where we seek to deepen our relationship with the Lord as we study his word and worship. Today, as we dive deeper into Ephesians chapter 6, to put on the whole armor of God, when warfare comes, the message is clear. Keep standing tall, keep praying, and praise him with your whole being. Let's join in.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. Let us go before the Lord in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God, we love you. We worship you. We praise you. You're awesome. You're amazing. We welcome the podcasters in, Lord God. We praise you, Lord God, for you orchestrating this day. Lord God. Thank you. Thank you, Lord, that you are God. We agree with you that what you say is wrong is wrong. What you say is right is right. We agree, Lord God, that we forgive everybody. We want our prayers heard. We want to receive your word with no hindrances. We um confess our sins. We throw away defensiveness. We open up our heart to what you have for us. We thank you for your mercy. We thank you for your grace. We thank you that exactly where we are right now in our life, you have orchestrated all the events of our life to bring us right to this point. We won't be under condemnation. No, we are in the your will, Lord God, and we thank you. We rest in your peace and we thank you for the word that you have for us. We thank you for your love. We send your love forth. Let everybody who ever hears our voices know that they are loved by you and loved by us. We love you so very much, and we thank you for this wonderful fellowship of a hundredfold ministry. Please move me out the way, have me behind the cross. Bless us to hear your word and receive it with gladness and have it bring forth a hundredfold and more. In Jesus' name. And everybody say, Amen. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Praise the Lord. The um this this Sunday I won't be before you long at all, my wonderful husband. He always said, Don't say that to be some of the longest ones, but I know this morning it won't be hallelujah. We're gonna have the scripture, we're gonna have a little bit of an interaction, and then we're gonna get to that worship. And so the scripture this morning comes from Ephesians chapter 6. And the main verse is verse 13, and then I'm gonna read just the little clause of 14 because it sounds so poetically going together. So when you have Ephesians 6, 13, please say amen. And that's by Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians. Amen. Okay, amen. Can everybody smile at me and say good morning? Good morning, good morning. I receive your smiles online there too. Good morning. Okay, Ephesians 6, 13, and the first clause of 14. It says, Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stay withstand in the evil day. And having done all to stand, stand therefore. Okay, so we got a wherefore that introduces it. So that means there's a whole bunch of stuff that came before it, and then a therefore stand, and there's gonna be a whole bunch of stuff that comes after it. So we're gonna read in context, and so let's restart at verse uh 10 through 20. This is Ephesians 6, 10 through 20. And it says, in conclusion, so that means you have to have to read the whole Ephesians to then get to this point of in conclusion. In conclusion, be strong in the Lord. Everybody say, be strong in the Lord. Okay, finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities. What are principalities?

SPEAKER_01

Institutions.

SPEAKER_00

You can't see them, but they show cause trouble. Oh, demons. Demons and devils, okay? So for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Demons, devils, demonic, demonic warfare. Nobody wants to deal with that, but guess what? It is real. And then it presents itself in the evil rulers and evil institutions and things that we have to wrestle with. It presents itself with wrestling with our own mind, and oh, I was doing so well, and now there's just a feeling, and the house doesn't shifted, and oh, my brain, I can't get peace. Then you say, I rebuke you, devil. Get thee behind me. Amen. Okay, but we re and let me clarify this God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God is all over the place, all knowledgeable, everywhere at one time. Devil's not so. That's why there are so many different ones that have to cause trouble. They don't know everything, they cannot be everywhere at once. There's different ones who vex different people. So do not think it's equal match on any level. We are more than conquerors in God with God in Christ Jesus. You don't have to be afraid, you have to call it out and rebuke it and say, I have authority, get thee behind me in Jesus' name. And every demon and devil has to bow down to the Lord God Almighty. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

All righty. Let's keep reading. Let's reread that verse. Okay, verse 12 again, Ephesians 6:12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day. When is the evil day? Now, okay, in the evil day, and having done all to stand, stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, thereby say truth, truth, and having on the breath breastplate of righteousness, say righteousness, righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

SPEAKER_02

Say, preach, preach, and be at peace, and be at peace, amen.

SPEAKER_00

And above all, Ephesians 6 16, above all, taking the shield of faith. Everybody say, faith, faith, say I believe, I believe, amen. I believe God. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery dice of the wicked. You mean I don't have to be afraid, but I can believe God, and that will help shield them arrows from piercing my soul. That's right. When you have faith in God for your yesterday, oh, he's covered all my past sins. They're covered by the blood of Jesus. The devil can't bring that up and vex me with it. For my today, today and my peace, I'm not gonna let you vex me in this moment. I'm gonna walk in what God has called me and for the future. The most effective attack of the enemy is to take this one moment and present for forever. See, this is why it's messed up. And if I do this, this will happen, and things will never change. We rebuke that. Those fiery darts against our past, present, and future can be quenched when we look at God and believe God. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and above all, taking the shield of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Ephesians 6 17, and take the helmet of salvation. Everybody say salvation.

SPEAKER_02

Salvation.

SPEAKER_00

You have to be saved, you have to have Jesus. If you get hit in the shoulder, ouch! If you get hit through the hip, oh my goodness. I got shot. I knew someone very close to me, my grandpa, that got shot through the neck is still live. If that bullet hits your brain and it kills your brain cells, guess what? You're dead. That's why you need salvation more than everything else. If you are not saved, then it's just a bunch of good works that won't lead you to God. Only Jesus, the blood of Jesus, is enough to cover our sins. It's so much better to walk in grace. Our works can't get us there, but Jesus can't, amen. Okay, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. We gotta have our Bibles. Everybody say, read your Bible.

SPEAKER_02

Read your Bibles.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. Thank you, Lord. Which is the word of God. Praying always with prayer and supplication and the spirit. Say prayer.

SPEAKER_02

Prayer.

SPEAKER_00

Prayer is talking with God. Supplication is asking for things. You don't get into prayer and only just spend the whole time asking for stuff. And you don't get into prayer and just pray, talk, talk, talk, talk without asking for what you want. God commands us to ask for what we desire. So prayer, God, please let my desires be your desires, and that the power of prayer can bring the kingdom of God and the blessings into my life. That's the prayer I pray over all of us, even now in Jesus' name. Everybody say in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_02

In Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_00

Praying always with our prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watch thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. So prayer, a watch is like, oh, I'm a soldier in front of the guard, I'm watching. People are safe under my watch. That's what we do by prayer. You do not run out of time. Oh, I have nothing to pray for because you're supposed to be praying for all of us. Just go down the names, think of anything. If you only know one person, this person likes to skate. That's all I know about them. Lord God, bless them while they're skating, bless them to have fun, bless them if they want to be competitive. There's never a time where there's nothing to pray for. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

All righty. And for me, pray for me, okay? That the utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel. For which I am an ambassador in bounds. So he was locked up in jail, chained, okay? Ambassador in bonds, that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak. That even when we are oppressed, vexed, you all, there's been so many times, not all the time, praise the Lord, but a number of times, where it's like, Lord, I've been so angry, upset, I don't feel like I'm equipped to bring the gospel. Is there any way you can just let it pass over me? But I'm willing to do whatever for your kingdom, even when your leaders are in bounds, you pray that they do not get weary of well-doing. Speaking of which, and wonderful brother Noah, please give me a cup of water. Excuse me. That when I say leaders, pray for your pastors, preachers, and teachers. But anyone who has ever blessed you, ever, in the kingdom of God, pray. So if it was me, I'd be like, oh Lord God, please bless Pastor John P. Keith, bless uh Kirk Franklin, put your hand, protect uh Sister Tasha Cobbs, Lord God, Lord God, uh I mean, anyone you can think of, uh Dottie Peoples, wherever she may be, her family. Bless Pastor Sally Caesar for standing on the front line so long. Let's pray for those who bless us. New and old, it's important. You would be surprised how much the enemy attacks those who are on the front line for Christ. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

And of course, for our wonderful parents. Shout out to the parents. On behalf of all the children, we're sorry for putting you through so much. On behalf of all the parents, stay strong, hang in there. Okay, hallelujah. But I praise God for my wonderful children, they are a blessing to me. Amen. So that is the context of stand, verse 14. Stand there, oh, verse 13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand, that when you've done everything that you come came to do, whether you feel like, oh, I haven't done enough, or you feel like I've done so much and I'm tight, or you feel, ooh, I'm going strong and I can keep on going. God's message for us this morning is to keep standing.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Keep standing. And so here's the interactive part. That really is the whole message. Keep standing. God says to remind them what they are supposed to be standing on. That's why I was so excited when I heard the verses this morning because all the verses went together with this message. What does it mean to keep standing? How do we stand in Christ? Tell me something. What's one of the things we do? We pray. Hallelujah. We pray. So if you're praying, keep praying, keep talking to God. We here at Hundredfold Ministry know that prayer looks like, ooh, I bow, I'm on my knees, I got my hand together. I say, Lord God, please bless me this day. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit. Prayer also looks like I'm doing dishes, and oh Lord God, I gotta go out in this storm. Please help my car to be safe as I'm driving, as I'm in the car. I'm driving, Lord. Please bless no accidents, no tickets in Jesus' name. And oh, if I'm they got school meet, please let me have energy. Oh, and it also involves what am I doing with my day? Oh God, I'm so excited about going to the pool with you today. Thank you for these gifts. Oh, that was really something about that. Was really something last night when this happened. If you are, if you and the Lord are best friends, can you imagine being best friends with someone, a human, and all they do is ask you for something and how they can please you that oh how's your day today? Oh, can I please have can I please have five dollars? Uh okay, but how was your day today? Oh, it was good. Is there anything I could do to make your day better? Is there any way I can please you more? Those things are good, but if there's nothing in between, you want someone to casually be like, oh girl, this happened and that happened. That's how close we are with God when we pray. Amen. That He's your best friend. That doesn't mean you dishonor him, you always keep them in honor. It brings me more honor when my children talk to me about the ins and outs of their day and look at me as a person. Amen. Amen. Alrighty, what else? Prayer, reading the word, yes, reading the word, hallelujah. What else? Absolutely. You need to be in that word. Nothing replaces the word. Amen. How else do we stand? Sing songs, sing songs, sing unto the Lord. That means sound comes out of your voice. Like so, if it sounds so simple, but in this day and age, there is such an oppressive spirit of keep everything in the head and oh yes, I pray, but I don't want to pray out loud and I don't want to disturb people, and I don't sound good. You better open up your mouth and have that vocalization come out. I don't care what you think you sound like, it sounds glorious unto the Lord. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

All right, what else? Sing song, pray. What about some of the stuff we've been hearing over the last year? How do we stand? About some of the messages. What are we supposed to be thinking about? What kind of things?

SPEAKER_02

Think good.

SPEAKER_00

Think good things. We stand by being in that Philippians 4, 4 through 9. Rejoice in the Lord always, think that whatever is good and of good report, virtuous, just things. When the world's like, look at evil, look at evil, look at evil, let it worry you, let it that's your soul. We stand by doing the things we both learned and heard and seen and thinking on good things. How else do we stand? Keep standing. How do we stand?

SPEAKER_02

Tall.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, we do stand tall, but that is true. You cannot fight this Christian walk, being all hung over, and oh, I know I'll get there somehow, and I'm so tired. You have to re regroup if that makes sense. When the devil kicks you, it's such a temptation to be like, I'll just stay down. Because all the devils that's assigned you saying, just stay down. See, you try to get up and look what happened, just stay down. But no, we stand tall. Having done all to stand, we stand, and then we stand there for with all the things we just talked about. The whole armor of God. What about with our interaction with others? How do we stand? How can we stand strong with our interaction with others? If someone comes up and they just look me up and down and be like, ooh, I don't like, I don't like anything about you or the way you look, how would I respond to that? How would I stand, keep standing if something like that happens?

SPEAKER_02

Smile, pray with them.

SPEAKER_00

You smile, pray with them, pray over them. What's the L word? You love them! You love them. That even though the world would say everything about that situation, says respond with with um venom and angst, respond with love. What about someone who I love close to me does something, I had a certain expectation, how they would treat me, and I can't believe they've done this to me. It hurt me so bad. What am I supposed to do with that?

SPEAKER_02

Forgive and understand.

SPEAKER_00

Forgive. We keep standing by forgiving. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

So as we depart into our into our week, okay? Because we're every day's not Sunday, every day's not church day, but I'm a living witness. You can be active every day with the Lord extremely. And we are standing. We know that we're loved. We oh, you know what? I should have saw, I should have check if Pastor Hill put anything um yes. If she put any fit ways to stand, then I miss.

SPEAKER_02

Every knee must bow. At the mighty name of Jesus, every knee must bow.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, yes. That we are humble before the Lord. That standing, standing and strong before the Lord means that we humble ourselves. Right now we're in a big old phase of don't be defensive and God's bringing out everything that makes us angry and defensive, so we can look at ourselves and God can clean it up. Um humble ourselves and submit to God. That's a perfect way of saying. As we go about our day, our week, our month, our year, and we're standing our life. We're standing. Maybe pull up some sermons from the past year and say, okay, God, what should I take away? But Lord, you are my substance. You are the one I run to. You are my everything that I stand by being focused on God, by advising him, keeping him number one. As you look at this upcoming year, do you see yourself standing? Do you agree that we're gonna walk and stand with the Lord?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

I receive it too. I receive it too. So do not let the accuser think you're doing make you think you're doing a bad job. Because God says, keep standing. So that means you're already standing. Keep up the good work, amen.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Let's give God praise. So in there, we talked about the helmet of salvation. That means you have to be saved. Um you have to be saved, you have to be saved. It says, Marvel not, Jesus said, Marvel not that you must be born again. That we have earthly birth human parents. But in order to make it to heaven, you must be born again. You must say, God, please take over this life. I give my life to you. I trade it all. I acknowledge Jesus is Lord and my Savior, I am a sinner, and only Jesus' blood can come. That God, I receive your gift of love, your sons. That for the price he paid, he died on the cross for my sins, he rose on the third day. Just so I can have the life. And he has it for you. He loves you so much. If you're ready to give your life to Christ, would you please pray this prayer with us? We'll pray with you. Let's bow our head. Dear Lord God.

SPEAKER_02

Dear Lord God.

SPEAKER_00

I know that I'm a sinner.

SPEAKER_02

I know that I am a sinner.

SPEAKER_00

And I pray now.

SPEAKER_02

And I pray now.

SPEAKER_00

Please save my soul.

SPEAKER_02

Please save my soul.

SPEAKER_00

Please forgive me for my sins.

SPEAKER_02

Please forgive me for my sins.

SPEAKER_00

I repent. I repent for my wrongdoing.

SPEAKER_02

For my wrongdoing.

SPEAKER_00

I choose. I choose to live a new life. To live a new life in Christ Jesus. He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_02

He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_00

For my sin.

SPEAKER_02

For my sins.

SPEAKER_00

And I accept His blood price.

SPEAKER_02

His blood price.

SPEAKER_00

As a payment for my sins.

SPEAKER_02

For my sins.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, God.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, God.

SPEAKER_00

For saving my soul.

SPEAKER_02

For saving my soul.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, God.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, God.

SPEAKER_00

For raising Jesus.

SPEAKER_02

For raising Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

On the third day. On the third day. And now I have new life.

SPEAKER_02

I have new life.

SPEAKER_00

In you, Lord.

SPEAKER_02

In you, Lord.

SPEAKER_00

I am saved. I am saved. Hallelujah.

unknown

Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_00

If you pray that prayer, we want to know about it. We want to get you materials. We want to just love you and know who has come to the Lord. We praise God for the tender, his tender mercies and for his word. God is so loving. God is so just. As we worship him and worship him for his goodness, the first song is a little upbeat, and so you can stand and clap, sing, raise your hands. Do you know that the more active you are on the active songs and press through, then the more in those peaceful worship songs that God can get through because our active vocalization can sometimes really help break down those walls that are there in the midst of silence. Does that make sense? And so that by the time the silence comes, you can hear God's voice even more. And plus, when you use your own voice to say, Lord, you're good, and Lord, you're so wonderful, and I love you so much, when you use your own voice to do that, you are calling all your members from your the members are like your head, your ears, your your spirit, man, the fingers, the toes, your responses. You're saying, hey, all of me subject to God, get in order. That oh, with my whole being, one of our verses, while I have any, I will praise you. I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. This Psalm 146, 1 and 2. It says, Praise ye the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul. While I live, will I praise the Lord? I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. That's what we're doing right now. That Lord got everything. Thank you. I'm getting hand claps. I was like, ooh, I hope that comes out well. Glory to God. So let's prepare to worship. Um, and we're gonna get to our praise and our worship. Everybody say, Hallelujah! Hallelujah. Thank you all for worshiping up with us today. Uh, you all are my heart, you know that.
